Curator's Note:
Against a limited pastel palette with lines of cobalt, the porcelain depicts Carley’s memories of her emotions - the vague moodiness of a personal journal glazed and fired.
While Carley doesn’t take herself too seriously, she manages to create intimate pieces you can hold in your hands. I imagine she would combust if these tender moments only remained in the marrow of her bones.
